Doyle Chevrolet and the Doyle family were recently recognized by General Motors for their 25 years as a leading Chevrolet Dealer. For almost half a century, the Doyle family has been associated with the automobile industry. In the 1950's Studebakers were the rage and Mike's grandfather built the largest dealership in the world right here in Rochester. In the 60's and early 70's, Chrysler Plymouth products carried the Doyle name and guarantee of a fair deal. In 1975, John Doyle purchased the current franchise from Donald Schumaker and began 25 years as a leading Chevrolet dealer. Today, John is joined by sons Mike and Mark (third generation auto men.) Together, the two sons oversee much of the day to day operations freeing up John for long-range planning and some well earned playtime with golf and the grandchildren.

In reflecting back on the last 25 years John said, "It's been a great run, we've had such terrific products to sell that our price and service are why we sell is as true today as it was 25 years ago." Mike Doyle states that the acquisition of Subaru in September of 1999, was another positive for the company. Another Webster business built on pride and integrity.

Mike is well-known as an active member of the Chamber, serving on the Board of Directors from 2000-2003 and still serves on the membership committee.
