Chris McAllister purchased the business in 1997. It was formerly known as Katek Vinyl Graphics and Signs. As the business grew, husband, Mark joined Chris. They were determined to grow at a comfortable pace so as not to take on too much, too soon. This allowed them to increase their customer base at a rate that wasn't overwhelming. As a result, they have continued to provide a superior product along with the best possible customer service. Because of their attention to a quality product and customer service, their customer referral base became one of their most important forms of marketing. The steady growth also provided an opportunity to continue to become familiar with the growing technology that is inherent in any computer/technology based business. One of their biggest assets is that they love their work. And, it shows in their attention to detail and customer relationships. McAllister Signs created the blue and gold community organizations signs that appear on Rte 104 near Union Hill, Rte 250 and State Rd; and on Empire Blvd. near Dunkin Donuts.

McAllister Signs has sponsored many charity events, including various fund raising events through the Arthritis Foundation and The Lupus Foundation. This year they were the sign sponsor for Hair for Hospice, a benefit for the Webster Comfort Care Home. They also sponsor a little league team through WAA. Chris is an active volunteer for the Lupus Foundation where she co-facilitates a support group.
