Paul Maier, President Maier Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. grew up in Webster and has spent his adult life in residential heating and air conditioning. He worked for another hometown heating and air conditioning company for 20 years before starting his own business in 1993. The business was based in his garage and fulfilled his long-time dream of providing quality heating and air conditioning installations and service to his customers in and around Webster.

As the business grew, Paul hired a full-time installer in 1995. In 1997 the business moved to a new facility on Commercial Street in Webster. To meet the needs of an increasing customer base a service technician and office manager were added to the staff.

Customer service is the main focus at Maier Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. Paul and his crew keep up on new technology by regularly attending classes offered by the manufacturer to be better able to assess and serve the customer's heating, air conditioning, and air quality needs.

In 2001, Maier Heating was recognized as one of Upstate New York's top Bryant Dealers in sales excellence. Through hard work and perseverance the company obtained the status of Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer in 2004. Paul was presented with a plaque at the 2005 Dealer Meeting in recognition and appreciation of 10 years of service with Bryant.

Paul has seen many changes in technology over the years and dealt with many challenges. There are several factors that drive the business - the weather, economic conditions, and governmental regulations. In 2006 the government is mandating all air conditioning equipment have a 13 SEER minimum efficiency requirement. Paul has been ahead of the game in educating his customers about upcoming changes. For the past six years he has been promoting high efficiency furnaces and air conditioners that use Puron refrigerant. Puron is a chlorine free replacement for Freon and is environmentally safe.

Paul is a member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of American of Upstate New York (ACCA). He has served on their Board of Directors,organized the Annual ACCA Golf Tournament for the past two years, and has most recently been elected as Chairperson for 2006-2007. ACCA membership consists of other area HVAC contractors and vendors and includes a student chapter at Monroe Community College. ACCA provides information and continuing educational opportunities for business owners, technicians, and students.

Maier Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. supports many community organizations such as Webster Athletic Association Girls Softball, Webster High School Hockey, Webster Marching Band, Webster Lions Club, Kiwanis Club of Webster, and Santa's Workshop for Hospitalized Children. Paul and his staff have been involved in the installation and on going maintenance of the heating and air conditioning systems at both the Pines of Peace in Ontario and the Webster Comfort Care Home.
