Ron started his home repair business in 1999 after working 30 years for Kodak. While at Kodak, Ron began as an apprentice Millwright and ended as an engineer. He spent as much time in the field as possible, preferring hands-on work to the unavoidable paperwork. Ron's home repair specializes in all types of repair work. He like a challenge and is not afraid to tackle any size job. He is a one-man operation but feels comfortable working on kitchen and bath renovations, or enlarging rooms by installing new headers. He truly enjoys working with his clients and feels no job is too small. One of his recent jobs was to remove a circular staircase and replace it with a traditional staircase. His challenge was to fill the hole in the ceiling left by the circular staircase. Ron is active in his church, the Immanuel Lutheran on West Main Street. He is their property chairman, in charge of maintenance. He volunteers at the Webster Comfort Care Home where he built a ramp to make the home accessible. He has also helped at the Webster Community Chest. After hearing about an elderly woman who had been without a hot water heater for the last 18 months, he donated his time to install one for her. Many of his customers are senior citizens. Ron has been married for almost 34 years to Cynthia. They have a daughter and a son. Ron's daughter is expecting their second grandchild. His 3½ year old grandson already has his own toolkit and is looking forward to joining Ron as soon as he is old enough. -- Return to Business of the Month Listing --
