Why the name Peacock Yards?
In the early 1950s, our grandfather Henry Grundman began raising peacocks as a hobby on the Grundman Homestead on Phillips Road in Webster.
He enjoyed having motorists stop by to take pictures of the creatures with their 8-foot tails spread out in a brilliant display. “You can’t beat nature for color,” he said.
