About Troy

My name is Troy Gribnau. I work at Edward Jones as a financial advisor. To share a little bit about my background, I attended Ithaca college where I studied finance, specifically wealth management. My reason for getting into this career was that I always wanted to emulate the work of my family members who worked in health care helping people, but realized pretty early on that the medical side of the field was not something I could handle. So after working some internships and shadowing different professionals, I realized that this career gave me the opportunity to still help people but in a way that more aligned with my interests.

After college, I worked for a small financial planning firm here in the Rochester area. I decided to leave once I began to feel that we weren't fully aligning with our clients' needs and that we were over complicated the planning process, two of the many reasons why I decided to come work here at Edward Jones.
