The Webster Chamber hosts a monthly business education speaker, called the Power Hour (except during the summer). We meet in the Chamber Conference Room or via Zoom. The Power Hours are free to members, as one of the many membership benefits.
The next Virtual Power Hour is on Friday, March 12th, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This is a Power Hour Series "Moving Towards Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion". See below for presentation details. Click here to register.
If the event is via Zoom, you will receive an email (sent to the email address you provided when you register) with the link to the Zoom event late afternoon the day before the event. If you register after 4:00 PM the day before the event, the link will be sent the morning of the event.

The Education Committee has created a 3 part series on diversity, equity and inclusion. We have worked hard to create a safe, real and highly interactive series to get us engaged in meaningful dialog. We encourage you to join us!
2021 Moving Towards Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Series
February 5th at 8:00 AM via Zoom: Understanding the Impact
Panel Discussion: Our panel of business professionals are ready to share their experiences, and answer questions on the impact diversity, equity and inclusion have had on their careers, businesses and lives. They will share how they shifted their leadership style, recruiting and hiring processes, and education and training programs to create a diverse working environment. Come prepared to ask, learn and share! We encourage you to watch The History of Segregation and Structural Racism in Rochester. In only 11 minutes, you’ll receive a powerful message showing how racism has remained prevalent in our city.
March 12 : Putting it into Action
Moderator: Dr. Marlowe Washington
Through the use of thoughtful open-ended questions, you and fellow participants can safely talk about your own thoughts, feelings and experiences around diversity, equity and inclusion. You can ask the “I’ve always wanted to know” questions in a safe, non-judgmental learning space.
Wait there’s more!
To keep us all thinking and engaged in between these session, we have included a “Check in from Ken” - follow up email with thoughts, comments, questions and content that build on what you have already learned!
