The Webster Chamber hosts a monthly business education speaker, called the Power Hour (except during the summer). We meet in the Chamber Conference Room or via Zoom. The Power Hours are free to members, as one of the many membership benefits.
The next Virtual Power Hour is on Friday, February 5th, from 8:00 am - 9:00 am This is a Power Hour Series "Moving Towards Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion". See below for presentation details. Click here to register.
If the event is via Zoom, you will receive an email (sent to the email address you provided when you register) with the link to the Zoom event late afternoon the day before the event. If you register after 4:00 PM the day before the event, the link will be sent the morning of the event.

The Education Committee has created a 3 part series on diversity, equity and inclusion. We have worked hard to create a safe, real and highly interactive series to get us engaged in meaningful dialog. We encourage you to join us!
2021 Moving Towards Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Series
January 8: Awareness ... Beginning the Journey
Presenter: Will Wallace, Braveheart Consultants Inc. and Alan Ziegler, Alpha Omega Leadership
Through the use of survey, interactive activities, and discussions, you will be able to define & understand the differences between diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. You will receive historical insights on race & racism in our region and become aware of our biases.
February 5: Understanding the Impact
Panel Discussion: Our panel of business professionals are ready to share their experiences, and answer questions on the impact diversity, equity and inclusion have had on their careers, businesses and lives. They will share how they shifted their leadership style, recruiting and hiring processes, and education and training programs to create a diverse working environment. Come prepared to ask, learn and share!
March 12 : Putting it into Action
Moderator: Dr. Marlowe Washington
Through the use of thoughtful open-ended questions, you and fellow participants can safely talk about your own thoughts, feelings and experiences around diversity, equity and inclusion. You can ask the “I’ve always wanted to know” questions in a safe, non-judgmental learning space.
