Barry's Column

I guess winter decided to make an early appearance again this year. I still have about half the leaves on my trees – what the heck!

Before I forget: “Thank you” to all of the good wishes and concerns sent my way since I injured my arm and had the surgery. The cast is now off and I have a “bionic” brace for the next 10 weeks. The only upside to this is that I get out of shoveling snow this winter!

The upside for all of you is that typing is a bit of a chore still, so my column this month will be short (and sweet)!

We have a lot going on before the end of the year:

The Job Fair is November 13th – check the website for details!

Our last breakfast of the year will be on Friday the 22nd (early because of Thanksgiving) – usual time an place so sign up now. The breakfast after that will be the last Friday in January, so don’t miss the chance to see everyone before the holidays!

Power Hour on the 6th of December – rumor has it that there is a fantastic speaker lined up you won’t want to miss. Check the newsletter for details.

Eat, Drink, and Connect on December 11th at Winding Creek Apartments fabulous community center – don’t miss a chance to celebrate the holidays with your fellow Chamber members. The website has all the details!

Have a safe and fun-filled Thanksgiving holiday. Travel safely and enjoy your family and friends – don’t forget to take a minute to be grateful and give thanks!
