Opportunity Group

The Webster Chamber of Commerce is excited to recognize Bob Freese and the Opportunity Group as May’s Business of the Month!

After 18 years of intensive corporate growth and experience, Bob decided to focus on helping clients develop the fundamental architecture of their organization to enable success at all levels.  In 1997, he formed the Opportunity Group, where his tag line is “Turning Opportunity Into Reality.”  Within the first year, Bob was working closely with groundbreaking behavioral specialists, seminal researchers and others.  Their perspectives proved invaluable as Bob proceeded to build a powerful portfolio focusing on dynamic human behavior development and its application to success for organizational leadership and teams.  Besides being qualified to administer multiple psychological instruments as part of his passion, Bob has helped build multiple leadership development tools in conjunction with the Masters of Organizational Science program through Queens University.

Bob says, “The bottom line is, I am an Organizational Coach. Working with my clients, we successfully co-create what is known as a Conscious Business, embracing a logical and deployable mix of Conscious Capitalism, Change Management and a simple, straightforward 5-step model called Practical Leadership.  This approach enables leaders and teams to work together for success, and quite simply, it just works.  Practical Leadership includes the uncomplicated application of known critical leadership and team functions to enable an organization to accomplish goals and build a sustainable and fulfilling future.”

In addition to writing and publishing two mystery novels (where it’s really about the murder and hot stuff) Bob is the proud father of two wonderful sons who both enjoyed the fruits of the Webster School system. Bob left Webster for a while, and was glad to return as he feels there is a  sense of community here that is lacking in other areas. Some of the ways Bob gives back to the community is dedicating time to various organizations such as his church choir and council, previously serving as president, assistant scout master for the Boys Scouts of America, Webster Marching Band Boosters President, board member for the Webster Chamber and past chair for Rochester Rehabilitation.  He has also provided pro-bono workshops for the Fairport Business Association, the Penfield Chamber as well as RochesterWorks! where any profits from events go to the Webster Comfort Care Home.  Bob has also delivered multiple programs for the Upstate Synod of the Lutheran Church of America and the Webster Chamber of Commerce.
