March 2022 Business of the Month

Monroe Piping & Sheet Metal

Monroe Piping and Sheet Metal was founded in 1967 by Harold Shearer as Monroe Piping.  In 1974 Harold Nairy and Reno Lippa purchased the business, and in 1983, they acquired Schneider Sheet Metal and renamed the company Monroe Piping and Sheet Metal.  They currently have 70 employees, and over the years have added many services such as fire protection, building automation and control, design build, and 3D building information modeling.

Monroe Piping and Sheet Metal is a full-service commercial mechanical contractor.  They are responsible for the heating and cooling systems, refrigeration, piping and plumbing of a building.  They offer equipment installation, repair, and 24-hour service and preventive maintenance.

Dan says the best part about this business is looking around the Rochester area, knowing Monroe had a hand in building and remodeling many of the projects you see.

Dan is a member of the Chamber’s Membership Events & Honors Committee, is an active member of the Greece Rotary, and coaches youth baseball and softball.  As a company, Monroe supports the American Red Cross, Lollypop Farm, United Way, and The Builders Exchange.

Dan loves that he knows the company he works for values its employees, even when challenging times, like COVID, happen. Before any assistance was offered to businesses, Monroe Piping and Sheet Metal kept everyone employed and were prepared to keep doing it.

Please join me in congratulating Dan and Monroe Piping and Sheet Metal as the Webster Chamber of Commerce’s March 2022 Business of the Month!
