Bernardi & Company CPAs was established in 1994 when Elena Bernardi left a larger firm in order to slow down the pace after her first child was born. She worked out of her home until 2003 when the practice was too large to operate as a home business and moved to the Village of Webster. By the time Elena opened this location, she had 3 children and 300 clients, and it seemed like it was time to ramp it up! Since opening in 2003, Bernardi & Company has continued to grow from a one-person operation to 6 people and many, many more clients.
The firm’s primary focus is making each client feel important. They provide a friendly environment where clients can relax and know the folks at the firm will do all they can to ensure their accounting and tax needs are taken care of in a professional manner. The accounting firm was established to provide efficient, expert solutions for businesses and individuals. Primary services include accounting, taxation, and business consulting. They also offer a host of specialty services to cater to the unique needs of their clients. Partners and staff accountants serve a wide range of individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations and are experts in the accounting issues and tax laws that impact their clients.
Elena, hates to say this, but she has been in the accounting profession for 35 years! The thing she likes most about her job is the people. She loves meeting and talking with new people and seeing how her firm can help them grow their business or be more efficient in tax planning. Every day, someone will call and make Elena smile. She says that’s the beauty of her job – the interpersonal connections make coming to work every day (mostly) a delight!
In addition to being an active member of the Webster Chamber of Commerce, Elena is the current Chairperson of the Webster Business Improvement District (BID), is the Treasurer of the Webster Economic Development Alliance (WEDA), and also serves as an advisory member for Canandaigua National Bank.
